"star bene insieme cantando" la schola cantorum villa del mas è nata nell’aprile 2006 da un'idea del direttore orlando pittau, con l'aiuto della pro loco e del comune di elmas. inizialmente i coristi erano solo una decina, ma subito dopo il primo concerto, durante le festività natalizie, il numero dei partecipanti è aumentato sensibilmente, sopratutto nelle sezioni maschili, tanto che da quel momento la corale poteva preparare canti non più a due voci, ma a tre e quattro voci. oggi la corale è composta da circa 50 persone con una età compresa fra i 12 e gli 80 anni. la finalità principale del gruppo è quella di incontrarsi con persone che amano socializzare attraverso la musica, vogliono creare nuove amicizie e vogliono arricchirsi creando scambi culturali con altre corali della sardegna, dell'italia e possibilmente di altri paesi della comunità europea. il motto della schola cantorum è: "star bene insieme cantando". il suo repertorio è molto vario: dalla miglior tradizione verdiana, alla tradizione sarda, ai canti del grande patrimonio polifonico del ‘500-‘600. la corale ha al suo attivo diversi concerti nel comune di elmas. ha inoltre organizzato dei gemellaggi con tante altre corali della sardegna, tra cui quelle di sanluri, masullas e iglesias. a partire dal 2008 la corale ha iniziato ad organizzare gemellaggi anche al di fuori della sardegna: con la corale di annecy in francia (ottobre 2008), con la "corale cantanove" di sandonà di piave (giugno 2010), e con la "corale fanis" di venezia (ottobbre 2011). la corale è aperta a tutti coloro che amano cantare. chiunque può farne parte: non ci sono limiti di età e non è richiesta nessuna conoscenza musicale. 2009 schola cantorum elmas | sitemap
